Christmas Parade

Last night was the Christmas Parade in Athens. We all met Gigi at Amici's for dinner before (and during.....and after...they were running a little slow, but it's always worth the wait!). As we were waiting guess who walks in and sits 2 tables behind us. Matthew Stafford and two of his friends! Rick knew one of the guys with was another Georgia player, Kris Durham. He wasn't quite sure of the 3rd guy. As they were leaving were we able to get a picture of them and Patrick! This morning, with help from Kelley Lawrence, we were able identify the "other" guy. His name is Drew Butler and, yes, he is Kevin Butler's son! How cool is that?! Even though Patrick wasn't so sure about the picture, mom and dad sure were excited!

Rick is the best! I turned 30 on November 17th and on the 16th Rick threw a surprise birthday party for me! It was fabulous! Most of my very best friends were and I was truly surprised! He sent out an e-vite, had it catered by Mama's Boy (yum!) and did it all by himself. Plus he gave the new fancy camera I have been dropping hints about for the past year. It was such a wonderful weekend. Kelly was in town from Knoxville, Sally from Birmingham, Amanda & Dave, Mandy & Trey, Laura & David, Dan & Amy, were all here from Atlanta and lots of friends from Athens! We had great food, lots of drinks (including a few shots of tequila from martini size shot glasses...yes, that was ALL my idea!), karaoke and I still managed to choke down one of my mom's famous Bloody Mary's and make it to the Georgia/Kentucky 12:30 kickoff! It was a perfect way to spend my 30th birthday weekend! I cannot thank Rick enough....and all of you who came to celebrate with me! If the rest of my 30's are as good as the first weekend I have a whole lot to look forward to!

Pumpkins!

Today we went to the pumpkin patch! Yes, it is October 30th, but better later than never, right?! At first Patrick wasn't too excited about being there, but after only one short crying episode he had a ball! We found two perfect pumpkins and headed home to carve them. We all had lots of fun and now it finally feels like Halloween. Good thing, since it is tomorrow!
